During the summer months, they open the rooftop café for some of the best views and open-air dining in Ostend. They do group dining and parties well and can customise their menus to your taste. A highly rated restaurant in Ostend with magnificent views, we are delighted to see the range of celiac-friendly options on the menu in De Foyer. Their stylish interior is relaxed and comfortable while being completely photo-perfect. The kitchen bases its menu on fresh, natural products, locally sourced where possible. There is an extensive, reasonably priced wine list and the sea view is one of the best in Ostend. They do not have a dedicated gluten-free menu but their experienced staff and chef can advise and modify your meal to suit your needs.
4. Jilles Beer & Burgers
Sometimes nothing will do but a juicy, delicious burger. For over 10 years, Jilles Beer & Burgers has been providing the community with delicious beef and bread combos, highly rated all around. For an additional cost, you can order your meal gluten-free with lots of options to choose from. Their tasty fries and sweet potato fries are gluten-free as standard and if you are unsure, the team here are happy to advise. It’s advised to book a table in advance as it can get busy especially the outdoor dining in the warm summer months.
5. De Kleine Garnaal
It would not be a trip to our beautiful seaside town without trying some of our world-famous seafood. A cosy and welcoming restaurant close to the Amandine, De Kleine Garnaal has a wide selection of menu items, mostly containing seafood. At a glance, many of the items are gluten-free as standard but you can customise a dish to suit your need after a chat with your server. Their shrimp and mussels come highly recommended.
